Join the Madrid Historical Society - $10.00 a year dues
Checkout our radio interview about the mines surrounding Madrid on our website.
Annual dues is $20.00 per year per person. Please make checks payable to Friends of the High Trestle Trail P.O. Box 71, Madrid IA 50156. Your dues help support continued amenities for the High Trestle Trail. Some of our past projects have been the lighting and restroom at the Johnson Family Trailhead. We have also installed picnic tables and parking bumpers there. The new shelter and binoculars at the High Trestle Trail bridge were also recent accomplishments. Our annual spring cleanup in April keeps the trail beautiful. Please consider renewing your membership and encourage others to join. Thank You!
The
West Overlook binoculars have been installed !
Due to the popularity of the trail between Madrid and Woodward, the City of Madrid and Boone County require a permit (free) for organized events on the High Trestle Trail pavement, right of way, or trailhead in their jurisdictions.
